We are happy to inform you that JLPT will be offered twice a year for Levels 1 and 2, the fist test being on July 5th. The application period for the next test is March 27 to May 1st. All applications must be postmarked by May 1st. You can find applications at major bookstores in Japan, such as Kinokuniya, Junkudo and Asahiya.
